About Us
County Contact Centres PLC is a British company based in Ipswich, Suffolk, just over an hour from London by train and a
short trip from London's Stansted airport. The company runs two distinct divisions: Ansaback, a 24/7 bureau contact
centre operation and CallScripter, a software house producing Customer Interaction Management (CIM) software tools for
the contact centre market.
County Contact Centres started life in 1999 as an online business directory service company called COUNTYWeb. The company
floated on the London Stock Exchange AIM during 2000 (Symbol: CUY). In order to diversify, COUNTYWeb purchased a
fledgling call centre, Ansaback in early 2001. CallScripter was initially developed as an in-house tool to enhance the
Ansaback operation, but such an interest was shown in the product by other call centre businesses, it was decided to
market the product independently. CallScripter was officially launched at the UK Call Centre Expo 2001. COUNTYWeb was
sold off in 2002 and the company changed its name to County Contact Centres.
